Bucharest, May 2023 – Dr. Max Romania continues to strengthen its position in the market through the acquisition of Gedeon Richter and Pharmafarm operations. The new acquisition by the pharmaceutical group in Romania, owned by Dr. Max Group - ranking second in Europe, now brings the total number of pharmacies in Romania to over 850.

The transaction complies with all applicable legal criteria and has been approved by the Competition Council, marking a new stage in the integration process of Gedeon Richter's retail and distribution operations, which will take place over several months.
